Eimear Roche qualified as a psychotherapist in 2020 from Middlesex University.
Eimear has worked in community based and low cost counselling services and she is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
Alongside her therapeutic experience, Eimear has worked for many years in children and family services, child protection services, specifically working with children in foster care, their families and in later years providing support to foster carers to meet the needs of children who have experienced trauma and abuse.
Eimear qualified in 2010 with a Bachelor of Social Science and a Master’s of Social Work in 2012 from University College Cork. She is a registered member of CORU the Health and Social Care Regulator in Ireland.
Eimear has specialist interest and experience in working with people who have experienced developmental trauma and supporting people to heal from early life trauma and abuse. She also has specialist experience in supporting people who have experienced stress and burn out in their professional lives.
Eimear has worked closely with people experiencing loss and grief for many years and she has supported many clients to manage and address issues of depression and anxiety. She has developed a number of workshops focusing on issues relating to personal development and psycho-educational tools to help people improve and increase their resilience. These can be delivered to both small and large groups and tailored to meet the needs of the client.
